Design for the tools people actually work in, validated before it ships.

I'm Julia, a UX/UI designer based in San Francisco. I lead design on complex internal tools and ecommerce products — from first concept through usability testing to a shipped, measured result.

Apple Toolbox (ATB) Returns Redesign

Returns was tied for the #1 most-used flow in Apple's internal order management system, but the process was slow and hard to learn. I led a redesign that cut unnecessary steps and clarified the interface — in usability testing, 93% of agents completed the new flow successfully, and 83% found it easier to learn than the current system.

Apple Toolbox (ATB) Fulfillment Redesign

Shipping and delivery questions were the third most common request agents handled, but order info was scattered across three separate widgets. I consolidated everything into a single Fulfillment tab with bulk actions and a unified item-detail view — 100% of agents in usability testing successfully located an item's status and delivery address.

Mercato Ecommerce App

I redesigned Mercato's mobile app store home page, search, filtering, and checkout, launched in 2022. The store redesign drove a 40% increase in GMS attributable to the native app — well past the initial 30% goal — and the checkout redesign cut completion time by 4 seconds, removed drop-off on the tip step, and lifted conversion 6% in an A/B test on 50% of traffic.

I'm a UX/UI designer based in San Francisco, focused on complex, high-stakes internal tools and consumer ecommerce products. Most recently I've led design on Apple's internal order management system, redesigning returns and fulfillment flows used daily by customer service agents worldwide.

I care about testing ideas against real usage before they ship — every project above was validated in usability sessions with the actual people who'd use it, not just reviewed internally. That's the kind of rigor I bring to a contract engagement: fewer surprises, decisions backed by evidence.
